The
Willamette Ceramics Guild (WCG) started as the Clay Clan almost 40 years
ago, and is one of the charter groups of the Corvallis Arts Center. The
WCG promotes education in the ceramic arts for its members and the community
at large.
As a group we show and sell our work at
Corvallis Fall Festival and the Spring Garden Festival. Our Empty Bowls
sale helps raise funds for hunger relief in our area. Additionally, some
of us show and sell our work in galleries and marketplaces locally and
nationally.
We have sponsored historical and fine art
exhibitions, a video entitled "100 Years of Willamette Clay",
held workshops and helped coordinate a national ceramics conference.
We're amateur and professional potters,
collectors and students. Membership in the WCG is open to all who are
interested in pottery. Dues entitle you to participate in all activities
of the guild, and to receive our monthly newsletter. Dues are $20/year
individual, $25/couple, $15/student.
Activities include: Monthly meetings, September-June.
Booths at the Spring Garden Festival, and Corvallis Fall Festival. Empty
Bowls Fundraiser. Special firings and exhibitions in the Guild Gallery
of the Corvallis Arts Center.
